1. Increase Aeration: Before and during treatment, you MUST increase the dissolved oxygen (DO) levels in your pond. Both Formalin and the high oxygen demand from stressed fish significantly reduce available DO. Use an Air Pump for Koi Pond and air stone to vigorously aerate the water throughout the entire treatment period.
2. Dosage Accuracy: Calculate your pond volume precisely. Never guess the volume. Overdosing this product can be fatal to fish.
3. Application: Dilute the calculated dose in a bucket of pond water before gently distributing it across the water surface.
4. Temperature: Do not use this product below 10°C, as the fish’s immune system will not respond effectively.
5. 🚫 Salt Incompatibility: NEVER use FMG Mix in water that contains salt (sodium chloride). The combination is highly toxic and can cause immediate fish fatalities.
