Usage, Dosage, and Safety Instructions

The potency of the NT Labs FMG Mix requires careful adherence to instructions to ensure fish safety and treatment efficacy.

Dosage:

Use 10ml of FMG Mix per 364 litres (80 gallons) of pond water.

• Above all, you must always calculate your pond volume accurately. Never guess.

Application:

1. Preparation: Switch off UV-C units, protein skimmers, and carbon filtration. Crucially, you must maintain continuous, vigorous aeration throughout the entire treatment period. This is mandatory because Formalin significantly reduces dissolved oxygen (DO) levels.
2. Mixing: Measure the required dose. Next, dilute this amount in a bucket of clean pond water.
3. Treatment: Subsequently, slowly pour the diluted mixture evenly around the pond surface.
4. Repeat: If needed, you can repeat the dose after 7 days, but only after a minimum 25% water change.

Essential Safety Warnings:

• Aeration: You MUST increase dissolved oxygen. In light of this, use an air pump and air stone to vigorously aerate the water.
• Temperature: Do not use below 10°C. Otherwise, the fish’s immune system will not respond effectively.
• Salt Incompatibility: NEVER use NT Labs FMG Mix in a pond containing salt (Sodium Chloride). In fact, the combination is highly toxic and can be fatal to fish.
• Sensitive Species: Do Not use with Orfe, Rudd, and Tench; Moreover, Sturgeon and Sterlets are highly sensitive and should ideally be removed during treatment.
• Filter Health: After the treatment period, always conduct a partial water change and use a beneficial bacteria additive to aid in biofilter recovery.
